Pirates, children, Anthony Quinn, disturbing ending.
I remember watching a movie (on TV, but I believe it was a made-for-theater movie) when I was young, like in the late 60's or early 70's. It had Anthony Quinn in it, I'm pretty sure. His character may have been a pirate - much of the movie was set on a ship. He (and his crew) somehow came into possession of some children (three, maybe?). The kids ended up liking Quinn's character, instead of being afraid of him, since he treated them fairly.
At the end of the movie, there was a trial of all the pirates. At least one of the children was asked to testify. An attorney asked the child if Quinn's character had ever done anything bad (he may have said "dirty" or "nasty") to them, and the child remembered that Quinn had once said the word "drawers" (meaning underwear).
The pirates, including Quinn, were found guilty and I think were sentenced to death.
Sorry this is sketchy. It's been nearly 40 years since I saw the movie. I thought I had found it on our cable company's pay-per-view, but it wasn't the right Anthony Quinn movie.
