Introducing John Alexander!!!

Alex made his grand apparence on June 28th and 12:41 pm via c-section. I was in labor for 12 hours and progressed passed 2 centimeters...we tried pitocin and breaking my water but nothing worked. I has having very intense contractions but my body was not corporating. The c-section was not as bad as I thought...I didn't even realize that they had stated until the doctor said that I was going to feel a huge contraction like feeling and then Alex was born. He is adorable!!! He weighed 7lbs 8 oz and was 19 inces long. I later found out from the doctor that he had not dropped into my pelvis yet and that he probably wouldn't have either...he said that my pelvis had not spread the last month of my pregnancy and that is why I would not dialate. The recovery has not been all that bad either...I am a little sore when I stand up and walk but other than that I am doing really good. He is breastfeeding ok...we are having some struggles...I didn't produce a lot of colustrum and he was very fussy until yesturday and the nurses kept telling me that I was starving my baby becasue I would not give him a bottle. But my milk is in and he is doing a whole lot better!!

Here are some pictures from his and the days after...

Yeah, ignore the nurses. It's very common for newborns to be fussy the 2nd or 3rd day after birth, then your milk comes in and they're fine. That's how DS 1 was. Congrats!
