Do you cover the milk?

Ok I have my first small amount of raw milk that is starting to sour. I want to leave it out to seperate, but the book does not say if you cover it or not?

Past experiance has taught me that regular store milk if left in closed container outside for long periods to go "bad" will explode upon opening.

So if I am leaving out raw milk do I leave it open, screw on lid, or cover with a towel.

If it is a lid should I "burp" it?

Thanks!

I cover mine. Have always just left the regular lid on. NAK

I would at least cover it with a towel- you wouldn't want bugs or dust to fall in.
