hi everyone! sorry to be gone, but on tuesday, june 27th, alexander (xander) samuel was born, weighing in at 8lbs 3 ozs and measuring 20 inches. i was woken up by a strong contraction around 6am, followed by some bloody show, and after a lot of ctx about 5 minutes apart (after two false alarms in two weeks, i think i was in denial about actually being in labor 
), dh came home from work at 3pm, we met our midwife at the hospital at 4pm, my water broke at about 4:30pm (when i coughed 
) and at 6:12pm, baby was born. so, i guess weeks of prodromal labor paid off with short active labor. xander was nursing within 1/2 an hour, and we got ourselves out of the hospital and home the next day. my almost 3 year old is just beside himself with glee.
anyway, more later ... i've been having trouble logging on to mdc, but i hope to be able to catch up and update the due date list soon!
