Just a quick note:
MaraJade Arden was born June 30 at 5:16 am. 6 lbs., 0 oz., 18 1/2 inches long.
Went to hospital on the 29th at about 5:00 pm, was dilated to 5 and 90% effaced, having pretty painful contrax with walking, midwife broke my water at 10 pm, spent lots of time in the tub and on the bed (was too weak and tired to even try the ball or walking anymore), at 3 am received some IV drugs, but no epidural this time, at 5:00 am was almost complete and having really intense contractions and pressure, midwife coached me on how to push naturally (after 2 prior epidural labors), on 2nd to last contrax felt this terrifying need to push, and she came out in one push (I couldn't stop!!) at 5:16 am.
Being born at 37 weeks, she looks pretty good, but has low blood sugar levels, so we need to see the pediatrician on Wed. to check that, but they let us go home Saturday afternoon. She sleeps a lot - but all my kids have been like that the first few days - and rarely ever cries. Loves to be near her Mommy - in fact, falls asleep within minutes of starting to nurse because she's so comfortable with me.
DS1 loves "Baby Sister" and is very concerned with what she's doing at all times; DS2 is generally nonchalant about her presence thus far, but will give her kisses.
