while its great that we're having loads of babies on here and they are all healthy and gorgeous : its so depressing seeing all these gorgeous healthy babies being born and still being pregnant.

but then I have had issues related to when he's being born for the past couple of months at least. he just needs to come soon. today or tomorrow would work for me.

Boy I here ya. Today or tomorrow would be great for me too! But, today is my official EDD, so I am anticipating from the 11th-13th. Which is actually kinda too bad, cause my MIL and SIL will be in town on the 12th, and they were coming in hopes that they would be here at least a couple of days after the baby was born. So, they may end up being around for the birth, which I am fine with, but I think they were hoping to be here afterwards so that we could get through the first few days of : .

I know what it's like to be anxious. I think I was with my first 4 or 5, after that I wasn't so much anymore. My official EDD was the 2nd, but I'm waiting patiently because I know I'll be ecstatic when he decides to come.

I'm definitely less anxious than with the first 3, but still really ready...

Same here, about being less anxious, but ready. Today's my EDD, so she's free to come anytime now!

Not to mention that this makes me the most pregnant I've ever been. (Of course, last time ended with a Cesarean, so as long as she needs to bake to come out vaginally is a-ok with me!)

Heehee. Yesterday was my EDD and people keep treating me like I'm a bomb.

"YESTERDAY!?!?!?" :: awed look at my belly as though baby will pop out at any moment ::

I'm still feeling ok about this. I can't promise I'll remain that way but I suppose I was mentally prepared to be pregnant for at least 41.5 weeks.

Though everyone who finds out that my EDD has come and gone then follows up with, "so what does the doctor say?"

Me: "Um, about what?"
Foolish person: "About when the baby will come!"

It's all I can do to keep from shaking someone when they ask questions like that. Do people really think doctors can predict when a baby will choose to arrive? Folks, I've got news for you: the entire field of obstetrics is all based on guesses!

My mom is the worst. She has called every day (sometimes several times a day) for the past week. She started a pool at work re: birthday, weight, and length of the baby, and she's pressuring me for inside information. I am about to kill her!

It's so absurd how people persist in this idea that one can predict when a baby will come. I think some Stupid Pregnancy Inquiries are really just attempts to make conversation, but "any signs?" and "what does your doctor say?" are infuriating because it reminds me that some professionals DO claim to know.
