Okay probably TMI, but I have to share! I just lost a HUGE chunk of mucus plug. But here's the kicker, and the reason I am not getting to excited - no blood. I went to Target and was walking around the store, and had a lot of contractions and cramping, so here's hoping. Also, my body has decided to start 'emptying itself out a bit' if ykwim??

Who knows, could be another week. But, a few small indications are kinda nice that at least my body is getting ready!

I think this is only fitting....

Yeah for progress, keep us posted!!!

Woohoo! I had no blood when I lost my plug with my first, 2 days later she was born

I hope this is the start of something for you, good luck and keep us posted!

Not everyone has blood when they lose their plug. Hope this all keeps progressing for you!!! Take that!

I went into labor with my first exactly how you described. Loss of plug, no blood and then the 2 hour long cycle of "cleansing" the body!

Sounds promising!!!

Oooh I'm jealous! I keep seeing small chunks of mucous but no blood and nothing too obvious so I'm thinking I've got a while....

Anyway here's some !!!!!!!!

I did some store-walking today, too. Too humid to take long walks outside, for me. It was going to be Target but ended up being the grocery. We need a pat-on-the-back smiley, because although I did BUY a lot of junk food, I am eating the organic chips and bean dip.

: Hoping this is good news that labor is coming for you! I'm still on the mucous plus lookout. After my spotting last week I'm wondering if that was it, or if theres more to come!

Yay!!! I hope things pick up soon!

Well, well!! It would appear that my water broke a little bit this evening whilst I was out with my knitting group at Starbucks. Came home, called the doula's and the midwives, they told me to get some sleep, and here I sit at 3 am, after having slept for about 4 hours. Contractions are about 10 minutes apart, kinda. They aren't precisely regular, but between 8-12 minutes apart. All back labor pains so far : . But, I am gonna wait these out and see when I need to call the midwives again. Yay for contractions!!

Yay!! Finally!! I'll be thinking of you!! Sending you some good laboring vibes!

My water broke with my DS but only a little bit came out and then ANOTHER water broke when he was coming out - it turned out I had 2 layers of water bags.

Yay for you!!!! I'm jealous I never had a SINGLE sign I was going into labor with my first baby. I *never* lost my mucus plug, and I am convinced that I never had one. No spotting, no show of any kind, just back labor that got worse and worse and worse as time went on. The only time anyone remembers seeing blood is at the very end as my son was being born and I got an episiotomy. Maybe with this next baby I'll have some "signs".

sending good labor vibes your way

The same thing happened to me! My midwife broke my water at the beginning, then again about an hour before he was born.
