Hi all - I am Claire - live in Scotland and have 2 DS's. DS aged three is very high need and after a disasterous time at a pre-school playgroup (we managed 1/2 a term of 2 hours a week before I had comments from the staff) I have decided to Home educate. ATM I am just taking each term at a time as my DH isn't fully on board with HE idea..

I have been looking back through the past threads and am really excited about HE. I have lots of ideas and a very bright boy - hes not that interested in reading as yet but loves being read to so that is a good start.

So Hi to you all

Hi Claire, I'm in Scotland too! I have 3 children, aged 5, 4 and 2. We are new to this too! We'll probably start with some formal stuff for my oldest this year. She'll be 6 in a few days! My older son is in nursery 3 days a week, he'll be going back next year. He's a February birthday and was supposed to start school this summer! He seems to enjoy nursery, but I don't think I will bother sending my youngest. We'll be much too busy!

My DH also hates the idea of home education.

Where about are you in Scotland? Maybe we could meet up? There is a scottish home ed yahoo group too, where you can find out things that are going on.

My name is Rebecca. We just completed our first year of homeschooling. My oldest three kids went to public school before we homeschooled. We pulled our oldest son our b/c of major issues with the teachers and the other two kids opted to come home as well. Seth is eleven, Madison is nine, Zachary is eight, and Nicholas is five. Enjoy you journey with your son!!
