What goes on Baby's bum?

From vaseline to baby oil, there are a million things you can smear on your baby's butt when you change him, so what do you use? And what do you wipe with?

I wipe with a wet washcloth (plain water), and don't smear on anything.

I use Palmer's Bottom Butter and it works really well. My dd gets rashy easily so we use it overnight and whenever she looks a little red. I use water and cloth wipes.

me too.

I've never needed to use any diaper cream and I'm too lazy to make any type of wipe solution

Nothing, unless she's rashy (which has happened like 4 times in 8 months) and then I use Balmex. I only wipe for poopy diapers, and then I use plain water.

I use Baby Bits wipe solution. Since thet are looking a little red in the sposies, I've been using Burts Bees diaper ointment. In cloth I might sprinkle some powder.

If he needs cream (occassionally) we use lasinoh or burt's bees. For wipes, I use a roll of paper towels cut in half or cheap baby washrags w/water or a mixture of aloe vera juice, tea tee, citric acid & water.

We wipe with a wet cloth wipe and if they need some kind of cream, we use burt's bees.

I wipe with a solution of water, TTO, and lavender and we don't use any cream unless necessary. When I do, it's usually just some plain ol' Vaseline.

Oooh, I have a new favorite "wipes solution" I laugh because I'm too lazy to officially mix anything up...I usually just squirt something in with some water and see how it goes. I have been using a squeeze bottle of water that I have put a bunch of pumps of baby wash in and a healthy glunk of Burts Bees Apricot oil (I know, very technical measurements here )
I shake it up real well each time and squeeze some onto a flannel wipe (I sewed my own out of an old sheet in a burst of pregnancy nesting!). It smells SO yummy. I even will give him a mini sponge bath with it sometimes and his skin is so soft and yummy smelling afterwards.
Sometimes in the morning I will give a shake of the Burts Bees baby powder onto his bum just to freshen things up...love how that stuff smells too. It makes him laugh - added bonus.

Plain water on a washcloth to clean him, and nothing else unless he has a rash...then either Butt Paste or Hyland's Calendula cream.

My wipes solution is water, aloe vera juice, and grapefruit seed extract. If I absolutely have to use cream, then I uae Burt's Bees.

Usually plain old water on a wash cloth and plain old lanolin the few times she has been rashy

Plain water and no slathering on anything unless she's rashy which is very rare, but then it's either Weleda or Burts Bees ointment.

Water, and diaperless naps on a waterproof pad. No slathering of anything.

plain water - occasonally I will mix up a sweet smelling solution, but most of the time I'm too lazy I've never had a need to use any diaper cream

Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion sprayed directly on baby bottom for poo, wiped with a Kissaluvs cloth wipe. Plain water on a wipe for pee. For redness/rashies I just spray a little DLP on bottom and let air dry...then change religiously within moments of a dirty dipe...never had anything last longer than one change!
