I haven't tried these ... but how in the world would you get a cat to sit still long enough to put those on?! I'm trying to picture my mom's hellion of a cat and these ...

And do you replace them every so often? Seems like a lot of work. How about just using the spray bottle and shoving as much catnip as possible into scratching posts?

I've tried them and they work. You clip the nails first then glue those on. You will replace every 4-6 weeks as your cat sheds the outer nail. I don't care about the furniture I have now but when I get new all three clawed cats will get them. With some friskt cats it may take two people. Have one person hold the scruff and leave the cats bottom on the floor. YOu can then clip nails and put the soft paw on. Other options would be to erap the cat like a burrito and only have one foot sticking out at a time.

We have to use them on one of our cats and they work great. You just have to keep checking to see if they fall off earlier than they're supposed to. The best way to get them on for us is to wrap our cat in a towel and bring one paw out at a time. Even with this is takes 2 people and a stockpile of tranqs. we have from the vet. They won't deter the actual scratching behavior but at least now there won't be any damage done to furniture and carpets

I was going to try them after our cat shredded our furniture, but he's an indoor/outdoor cat and you can't use them if your cat goes outdoors. So it's been spraying the furniture, spraying Sammy with water, and redirecting him to more appropriate scratching surfaces.

I don't think I'd EVER get those things on him, either. He hates having his paws handled.
