do you mean for tummy time? or sleeping? i think tummy time can start whenever. my youngest dd likes if i lay in front of her and we look at each other. of course she is 3 weeks old and it desn't take much to wow her.

I mean for tummy time. I was just worried about her head bobbing up and down and her face hitting the floor...but she does hold her head up pretty good anyway...I've seen people put like blankets and pillows under their baby's armpits while they're young and not crawling, but is that really necessary? it almost seems like it would be a hindrance to their crawlig development...??

Putting rolls under the upper body can be a good way to transition to tummy time especially for babies who find it uncomfortable. You can also lean back and let her have tummy time laying on your chest.

I did the chest thing too because my 3 mo really, really doesn't like tummy time but would lay on my chest and hold up her head for a long while. Seemed to work fine for her. I switch between the floor and my chest to try to get her used to the floor. Have fun!
