Had my 37 week checkup today (yes, I realize this makes me a potential cantidate for the July DDC, but a long time ago I decided I was happier here in August with ya'll
)
Anyway, as my title indicates, I'm 1cm dilated, which I know isn't anything to get too excited about, but.....80% effaced is good news, right? Please don't tell me I could walk around at 80% for the next month, because I'll have to start banging my head on the wall
: I feel like I've been in labor for WEEKS now....I could have kissed my midwife when she told me the news

Hmmm...I think it's time for sex, spicy food, some walking, maybe more sex.....what else??

Update as of July 12th.....
Had my 38 week checkup today...and the verdict is still 80 % effaced, now 3 cm's dilated, the baby is at 0 station (and poked my midwife with her finger when she (my midwife) was feeling her head during the internal exam!). Also...possibly TMI, but I'm sure I lost my mucus plug yesterday (yes, thankyou, I know it can regenerate) and let's see...what else? OH! How could I forget to mention the increasingly uncomfortable contractions I've been having!? I just don't remember being this uncomfortable with dc#1.....with him I was just happily going about my day when my water broke, and 7 hours later he arrived! This time around I feel like I've been in labor for weeks....sigh...whine, whine, whine.

I feel like I've been in labor for a month too but it's just those increasingly nasty BHs for me. OUCH.
