I some good kid-friendly tofu recipes in my book - I'll mention a few and if one interests you, I can post it:

Scrambled tofu (like scrambled eggs)
Tofu salad (like egg salad)
Tofu "fish" sticks (kids really like this one)
Instant banana pudding (everyone loves that one)

I can also tell you how to make tofu ricotta cheese which is yummy in lasagna or mixed into pasta.

Diced tofu is great in stir-fries or tossed into pasta dishes. Also can put tofu into smoothies for extra protein.

I don't eat tofu even tho I'm vegan, but my dd loves it right out of the package. Uggg... gross, but she likes and won't eat it cooked, so it works out fine.

My older daughter has always loved tofu in any way, shape or form - also straight out of the package. My second though doesn't like it at all . . .

I have a baked tofu recipe that has gone down well with everyone.
I always make a batch and keep it in the fridge, it can last a week, and even more, but it seldom does so long!! You can just pan-fry it, and serve it hot for dinner, or add it to stir-fries, fried rice, etc, even put it in sandwiches, etc.
If you are interested in the recipe, just pm me.

put this on pasta and bake it m I would use real mozzarella instead of vegan

Dawn’s vegan tofu pizza sauce
1 package soft tofu blended
1 pack vegan mozzarella cheese shredded
½ cup melted Earth balance
1&1/2 tsp Worcester sauce
salt pepper
1/4 cup Italian sauce

mix ingrediants in blender or mush it up a lot

Oh, oh, oh! I got one!!!

I love yogurt smoothies w/ a frozen banana and berries and some silken tofu, although you prolly could use any kind. These are a great pick me up.

DD also likes it straight outta the package.

I've been known too to put in tuna salad or in my graden salads.

Also, I mix the silken style into my otameal. On the very last minute or so take a few good chuncks and drop in the pan. Give a few good stirs w/ a wisk and it'll be warm and soak up the flavor so you won't even know it's there.

miso soup, of course! (a little dashi, some miso, some scallions- japanese instant soup )
lol, we are the tofu polar opposites, kim- omnivore here who can't get enough of the stuff (lip-smackin' good! we get that good organic 'Farm' tofu here in TN; you go, Ina May!)
we like to fry it, freeze it, scramble it... get creative with seasonings you may have lying around like sesame oil, or hoisin. so versatile. (it's great scrambled with soyrizo, with beans and tortillas and almond cheese.)

We have a couple of recipes in our cookbook. We also use the teriyaki sauce as a stir-fry sauce: marinate tofu in it, then lightly brown veggies, then add tofu and sauce and cook a few minutes. My very favorite is zucchini and a little onion and cashews and tofu, using cider vinegar instead of the sherry in the teriyaki recipe. Another good variant on that sauce is using orange juice instead of sherry and adding some hot pepper flakes.
