New homeschoolers! Need company!

Hey all,

I've posted a little here, but we are moving into homeschooling mode around here and I just need some company. DS1 is 5.5 and DS2 is 3.5. Just wanted to reach out and say "HI!"

I'm also starting to make contact with local hs families but I thought it would be good to start chatting with folks on here as well.

thanks,

Jenny

Hi! We are new ourselves. Well, not to this forum, but to homeschooling in general. I've also got two young boys (5 and 2). I am feeling pretty nervous now that preschool has officially ended (well, as of next week) and could use all the hs'ing buddies I can get!

dd is 3, so no set-schooling at this point, but leaning towards homeschooling for a variety of reasons.
what type of homeschooling are you all interested in?
i want some guidance from a curriculum, like the waldorf and enki based ones so far, also open to a bit of unschooling and letting her let me know what she wants to learn about.
want to also toss in some tutoring and classes with it - language, guitar and dance or horseback riding or sports.
you all?

We are new to this as well. My son just turned 3 in June and I am researching different preschool curriculums to start using in the fall. I'm a little nervous about doing this, but excited and happy with the decision as well... I'm so tired of everyone asking where he will be attending preschool. AARGH!
