OK, this is kind of a spinoff of the #1 Fav book thread. Now the question is, obviously, what do you think is the greatest movie ever? Or, What is your #1 favorite movie of all time? It's another toughie I know... I am feeling today like mine is--

Rushmore

ok, ok, top 5-- :

These are the top three, I know it was suppose to be one, however, I have watched each of these movies over nine times!!!

Wow, you've watched Roots 9 times! That's quite a time commitment. Impressive! I've seen it twice I think. Once voluntarily a few years ago and once in school.

I've always loved the movie "Lost Highway" (David Lynch... that's really all you need to know), but I don't know if I can claim that as the "greatest EVAR". I like different movies for different things... and different moods. /cop-out

So I guess I can't really answer

This is so cool. Everybody has such different taste! I think the only repeats are Big Lebowski & Princess Bride. Two excellent movies.
I'll start my list but I'll have to come back to it because I don't have the time to think right now. heh heh.

Moll Flanders
A Beautiful Mind
Kiki's Delivery Service

My list is seeming so trite to me now. What can I say, I am a sucker for a good comedy. It's harder to do a decent comedy than you think. Other favs:

A Fish Called Wanda
When Harry Met Sally--the PERFECT romantic comedy. It has yet to be matched despite years of trying.

Just so I don't sound too serious.. I also LOVE You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

Ooh, love that movie too. Hmmm, makes me want to see it again.
I think it was that movie that got me into trouble with meeting a guy online and then just up and moving to England to be with him.
