Lorenzo Anthony arrived yesterday (July 6th) at 5.29 PM. He was born at home in our bathtub after a very intense and short labor. He weighed in at 7lbs. 6oz. and was 19 inches long. He's been nursing pretty much constantly since he was born (and so has Miss P ) and I'm feeling fantastic. This is so dramatically different from the hospital birth I had with dd. Birth story to follow!

As a side note, I'll be checking the board once a day in order to update the sticky. Please feel free to pm me so I don't miss any announcements!

Feel free to view pictures on my blog! http://booberryparker.blogspot.com/ (I'm still working on the birth story...)

Awesome! I'm so happy for you! Sounds like a fantastic place to give birth- I feel like taking a (cold) bath now....

That's funny...I thought for sure I'd want nice hot baths/showers while in labor but it turned out it felt soooo nice to have it cool. It was pretty darn hot here yesterday though!

Congratulations to you and your family and welcome Lorenzo!

Wow! So suprised to come back here this afternoon to see that you posted a birth announcement. Could have knocked me over with a feather. So happy for you. Glad the nursing is going well, have you tried the two at the same time yet? Have you gone through the big head syndrome (the point when you are nursing your newborn and then you nurse your toddler you realize that the toddler has magically grown in just a few moments)

Yep I've been nursing two at a time since the start. Miss P wants to latch on every time she sees brother nursing. And you're right, she seems huge to me all the sudden! Thankfully, I'm not feeling irritated by her nursing, like I was warned I might. I'm just so relieved that it doesn't hurt anymore! I can't believe how much more smoothly and naturally things are going this time around.
