having trouble with boarding...

i am having a heckuve time finding a place to take care of our furries while we are gone in 10 days.

i can't ask our family- they are all ill in one way or another right now. i don't trust our neighbors, so they're out.

no friends closeby enough to not be an huge inconvenience.

all the places around here say the pets have to be fully vaxed for everything, and they have to have the records given to them before the pets can be "checked-in"

:

the pups have had the basics : Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus vaccine/ Canine Coronavirus Vaccine-Leptospira Bacterin

they are almost 4 months old and in this state, pretty much due for a rabies shot- i dont want them to have it yet.

other than the kennel cough vax, what else will be required? we could do the same vaxes mentioned above ourselves on our 2 big dogs, but i dont think they have the kennel cough vax at the feed sore...

Did the pups have the vax at the vet? Many boarding places don't accept DIY vaccines (which is dumb, but a common policy). I suspect you'll have to go to the vet for the KC as well.

What about advertising for a pet sitter?

Yeah, I'd advertise for a pet sitter, even go in on the sly to a boarding kennel where you would trust and ask if any of the staff does house sitting. I used to make great money in university by staying at peoples houses while they were away. Maybe check your local college and look for a vet tech student. Post on FYT here, maybe someone knows someone who'd be willing.

You can of course mail them all to me and I'll keep my eye on them
