Liberty Grace is here!

Liberty Grace was born at home in the wee hours of July 5th. Her daddy thought for sure she'd be an independence Day baby but she had other plans. I labored in my tub with a spectacular backdrop of fireworks exploding in the window. Active labor was only about 8 hours and I only pushed for a little under 30 minutes. She weighed 8lbs, 15oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. She is a great nurser and is an amazingly alert baby. She still has her placenta and cord attached which looks like it will fall off sometime tomorrow. Right now we are resting and being watched over by her 3 adoring big brothers.

I am majorly on cloud 9!!

Congrats!! Did you pick Liberty because of when she was born or was that always the name? It sounds beautiful!!
