A piece on this band, their CD and the documentary film about them was on the CBC yesterday and I thought maybe people here would be interested.
The band is made up of musicians living in a refugee camp in Guinea after fleeing Sierra Leone. The website has a trailer for the film, samples of the music, a list of upcoming screenings of the film, info on the foundation vreated in their name to bring arts to the camps, and the band member bios (which are amazing).
I'm really hoping to catch the film and I'm gonna pick up a CD.
