The Seven Things Project - wanna join me?

I have declared for myself a year-long project of getting rid of seven things a week. That may seem small and slow, but for now it seems like it's either that or just give up. I'm too overwhelmed by my stuff.

Anyway, I've started a blog to chronicle my experience and to invite others to join me in the journey. (It seemed like a motivational tool for me, not only in terms of some kind of public accountability but also b/c I felt I might have an easier time letting things go if I kept some sort of record of what I'm getting rid of and why it was/is important to me).

Anyone care to join me?

You can read more about it at http://seven-things.blogspot.com/

Great!

I think I'm going to start a blogring for anyone who has a blog and wants to be a part of the project (will set this up later this week). Of course people who don't have blogs can do it, too, with a flickr album or something like that, or even just by checking in here and listing their Saturday Seven.

Got rid of my first seven (actually eight) earlier today. So my first Saturday Seven is up!

What a great idea!! I am so on board. I don't blog though, so I'll subscribe to this thread.

I got rid of way more that 7 things this week. I had a yard sale. Does that count? I'm not gonna list everything I sold though. :

I'll start listing next week.

Hey messy mama! Yeah, listing to this thread is great - no blog required.

I'll look forward to seeing your list next week!

This I think I could do (doing it any faster & I'd just get depressed & give up). Of course, starting is easy, I know it'll get harder as time goes on . . . but here's my blog & I've already started on this week's

since I just found out about this yesterday I am going to start listing next week (when my 7 things are actually gone from the house) so my goal is to have 14 things next Sat to list, not 7, to make up for yesterday hope that's ok? I am really excited about this!

I'd love to join y'all! I could stand to part with 17 items a week but I'll start with the suggested 7 and post my items here on Saturday. (I'll actually pick 14 items for this week since I'm starting late.) What a fabulous idea -- thanks so much for suggesting this project.

I"m going to start today just to jumpstart then, make it the "saturday seven" rule. I'll post here, because I don't have a blog, so subscribing to this thread and writing here will be my motivation.
