Blood in toliet

This may be a little gross for some but I am worried.

My son was at Grandmas last night and when she returned him today she said he'd pooped and blood was in the toliet (a lot) and wiped him and it stopped.
There was no blood in his underwear.
Tonight when he pooped, same thing. I watched very carefully (this is where it may get yucky) and blood came AFTER the stool as if he'd torn the anus. The stool was normal, he did not seem constipated, it all came rather quickly. But the blood appeared to be a lot. It was the same as she'd described from yesterday, I wiped, it stopped bleeding.
I looked on Web MD and it gives just a paragraph on what they call anal fissures and say it is common in young kids and healthy children and adults.
Does anyone else have thoughts or insight into this? Has it happened to your child? Of course it is Saturday and the Dr. has not called back. I will either have to wait untl monday or go to a Rapid care type center.
I've called both Mom and Mother in law but I always get good advise from moms here.
Thanks

If the blood is bright pink/red that means it came from close to the anus...most likely an anal fissure. Was his poop harder than usual?

The stool appeared to be normal not overly hard or dark. The blood looked to me like regular blood from a outer body wound.

This has happened to both me and ds, and it's always resolved itself. I've noticed that it happens to ds when he's eating a lot of junk (like if we're travelling and eat fast food and pringles!)

I wondered about junk food too. I know when he is at grandmas he eats a lot of different foods than we eat at home. Thanks for the reassurance. I think if it is still happening in a couple days I'll take him to the Dr.

No problem!

This has happened to me but not to dc. It usually last for a day or so then goes away.

How is ds doing now? Did it stop?

It also happens to DD when she hasn't been eating enough fiber rich foods.
