Still not using the potty

What is the oldest age anyone knows of a child refusing to use the toilet for pooing? I know that all kids are different but I would like to have something to look forward to

My dd is 5.8yo and still uses a pull up to poo in. I am waiting patiently for her to be ready to use the toilet and on rare occasions she does (3 times in the past 3 yrs)

She is showing signs of getting closer to being ready. The other day she went and pooed on the toilet without telling me wiped herself then came and told me to come look at it. I told her thank you and good job. Then let it go. Later that day she went back to the pull up for poo. TIA

My ds is following her footsteps. He will be 5 next month and has used a toilet for poo twice, once when he was two and once about a year ago. He says he will use a toilet when he is a man.

well if that was only yesterday, i would give a little more time. it was at least a few weeks before my son started pooping in the potty regularly after his first time doing it. i bet in a couple of weeks, she will be trained. i always remind ds how much nicer it is to poop in the potty b/c then he only has to wipe a little bit instead of a lot. don't know if you think that would be too pushy?
