Our new little DD is here! Keira was born on 7/7 at 7:27 a.m. - It was a very lucky day!!
She was 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 18.5 inches long.
She was born via c-section (my cervix wasn't going anywhere and my previous birth was an emergency c-section
) but everything went smoothly.
We were able to nurse right away and that's been going really well. My milk came in after 48 hours! I'm so impressed with how breastfeeding-friendly the hospital was this time, she stayed in my room almost the whole time and was never given formula. Hoorah!!!
My son was just fine with his daddy putting him to bed at night and he'd spend the whole day with me at the hospital. We got to come home after 2 days and I'm so glad to have the whole family home and together.
Thanks to everyone for your support during the last few weeks of pregnancy, I'm sure I'll be seeing lots of you over at the nursing board.
