Am I the only one that is this close to my EDD & still feels the same as I have for the past couple months, LOL. I am 39 w 5 d.
No BH, nothing:
Can it really just happen overnight??

seems kind of miraculously impossible, doesn't it? Even though I've gone into labor spontaneously twice before, part of me just doens't think it's going to happen. Were you late or early with your dd?

My DD was born on her due date.
Truthfully its been too long ago & I cant even remember if I felt anything beforehand. I dont think I did I think I was a little crampy feeling, lost some of my plug, went to bed & woke at 6am having contractions.

I am just getting impatient now
I feel the same way ... like it isnt just going to happen in the next week. Plus, I dont really feel 9 months preggo So that doesnt help.
My only complaint is that my pubic bone aches, too much pressure after I have been on my feet too long or the exercise ball (at the comp. .... I need to get up now )

Butting in...

I've only been induced and I don't feel like labor is going to happen on its own! I was 10 days over with my first DD. I know it sort of has to eventually because I can't be pregnant forever Silly pregnancy fears.

Were you induced with your first Amy?

On your due date, lucky tsk_mom!

With DD2 I was 39.5 weeks & nothing was going on & I was getting really impatient & my OB was going to have me come in for an induction & then that night with no warning, bam, my water broke & she was on her way. So I would say yes, it is possible.

yep! I was ten days past, although my dates could have been off a bit - I may have only been a week late. As far as inductions go, it was a really nice hospital birth. We lived in Boston - they are years ahead of other places.

I'd say enjoy feeling good! I know its hard when there are no signs, but I'd much rather spontaneously go into labor than start and stop like I've been doing.

Heres hoping you have a nice quick labor real soon! :

I feel fine, too! I also feel like I'm going to be pregnant for the rest of my life...haha. I'm due on the 11th, but I was induced last time, so I have no idea what it's like to just go into labor.

I never felt anything before going into labor. Nothing. With my second, I had one evening of wondering if maybe something was happening, but that was because I was feeling nauseous and a little loose. I was hoping it was laborish but it was just digestive-ish.

With my first I was absolutely convinced the baby wasn't coming for two more weeks - I mean NOTHING was happening. Dh got the nesting bug bad, and got everything ready, and I was laughing at him, I was so sure the baby wasn't coming yet. 10 minutes after he proclaimed us "ready" my water broke.

So just because you don't "feel" like anything is happening doesn't mean it isn't...

me, too
39 w and I've got nuthin' going on, except baby has been slowly dropping.

with Noah my water started leaking the night of 38 weeks and just after I checked into the hosp for induction (because the next night there were zero contractions and no dialation or effacement at the birth center) I started losing the plug.

we're ready now and this week is supposed to be lovely after a couple of fairly grey weeks. This week or early next would be nice (next Monday is my 35th birthday).

No warning s here either

I was literally sitting on the couch have a conversation with Daniel about how funny it would be if I went into labor today because he was on his way out the door to a final interview, he had been jobless almost my entire pregnancy. Sure enough just as he got up to leave bam a contraction hit me like a mactruck out of nowhere.

I fear it will be the same this time right done to my due date. I feel great as of lately been cleaning and organizing and last night we both went on a clean spree. I still find it hard to believe I have no symptoms etc and just feel as if it can never happen. Even though I have done it once before my mind still tells me it is impossible to push a baby out of there!
