Ligmom... STOP temping!!! LOL.... Your temps will fluctuate up and down, but stay up for the first half of pregnancy... then they start going down again. STOP temping. You will just freak out.

Yo Becca... yeah buying a whole new maternity wardrobe is a lot of money, but now you have the most up to date maternity clothing that is going to fit well... you will feel good about yourself for being so comfy and fashionable... its a good thing

Lunadoula... I go through cycles of feeling normal and feeling pregnant... I don't think you have to "feel pregnant" to be pregnant KWIM?

Arwyn - I teach developmental psychology and have them read Having Faith in addition to their traditional textbook. I like the students to learn the embryology, and we also talk about how Sandra and Jeff's relationship changes throughout the pregnancy, how he is supportive of her, how their identities change...and they get the added bonus of learning about the toxins in the environment. Sandra has an appointment at my insitution, so she has guest lectured in my class for the past few years. Unfortunately, that won't be happening where I'm headed, unless I can drum up the money for her to come. I don't know how much she charges to do a lecture. She does it as a part of her appointment here, and all we've given her in the past have been birthday cards for Faith (she usually lectures around Faith's birthday, which is late Sept.) and gift certificates for the local bookstore. Our dept doesn't pay for speakers.: Hopefully, where I'm headed, there will be a larger budget and we'll be able to bring her in for the whole college.

Paisley- THe dream was somehting basic, like "I have to post an update, and offer suppport to those who are concerned about their progress. Where is the discussion? It's gone! HOw am I going to search for it? The search function doesn't work! Did the moderators move it? Was there something controversial in the thread? Why would it leave DDC March 2007?"
My dreams are pretty basic and reflect reality a lot of the time. DH, on the other hand, always dreams about his dead relatives (there are a lot of them), and last week they told him that I was carrying a girl. (I think I mentioned that in another thread somewhere.)

Ligmom - I"ll be thinking of your niece and sister. Surgery is scary, but little bodies are strong and recover well. (I'll be in Atlanta for the first week in August. DH's family are there.)

Christine - Welcome. There's a "roll call" thread at the very top with all the introductory postings

My cramping has lessened today. I'm not sure if it's because I lifted too many heavy boxes (I'm packing for a move, and the National Geographics went out on the porch and were picked up by a freecycler. YAY!!), which would be bad. Or, if it's because I had acupuncture this afternoon, and I told her I was having lots of cramps, so she needled points for cramps. THat would be good.

OK, I should be off to bed.

I think i'm finally starting to get a few symptoms. I'm a little nauseated at the moment.

I've been so hungry. Like, famished. I havn't felt like this since my son was a newborn and I first started breastfeeding.

How's everyone doing?

I've sewn a few newborn contours for our little bean. Otherwise I'm just chilling. I plan on calling my midwife thursday morning to give her a headsup.

We are getting ready to sell our house so i've been busy busy. Lots of painting, repairing, cleaning and packing. We've already bought a new house and are moving mid-august. Just in time for morning sickness to be in full swing!

wow shalena - sewing already! That's awesome.

I'm furiously stockpiling maternity clothes - got 3 packs in the mail yesterday and today and I can't WAIT to wear them. They are much hipper than with my first pg - I don't have to buy "teacher" clothes this time so I can splurge on new jeans!

Gotta go fetch "bunny cookies" for DD

ASusan - How cool about your dh's dream! And your MDC dream sounds pretty chill too. Mine was that a person on the boards whom I don't particularly care for had joined our ddc and then all these other people who rubbed me the wrong way came along with her. Total midnight drama.

Shalena - Good for you on the sewing! I started knitting a pair of longies but realized I didn't have the right needles to get past the waistband. I ordered some last week and finally called today to check on them - they are out of stock! Hello, could you let me know so I can order from someone else and don't have to be taunted by my unfinished project?? Jeez.

Yo Becca - Where are you getting your maternity clothes from? (Not that I have any business shopping for any right now, but I do like to be informed. )

Gotta run - the season premiere of Project Runway is almost on!

Hey, temping counts as testing! Any symptoms yet, other than high temps and no flow?

I am SUPER I could nap at any point during the day. This morning I got the kids ready to drop the oldest off at athletic camp and after getting everyone dressed we had 15 minutes before we had to leave and I fell asleep in the family room
I am a coffee drinker - I was down to one cup of 1/2 coffee and 1/2 teeccino and haven't been able to brew or drink a cup for 5 days now which is VERY unusual for me as well as a general aversion to a lot of foods right now, oh - and I HATE wearing clothes . No major symptoms though which is fine with me

Bring on the insanity

I took a nap today when DD went down for hers. Went hard asleep - dreams and all. DH called and woke me up at 3:30. I thought I had just woken up from going to bed at night - I said "Is it 3?" Him:"3:30" My brain says:"Robin isn't making noise - she should have been up at 7am - she's in trouble or dead"

I totally panicked, hung up on DH, started running for her room, the phone rang again and I picked it up, yelled "hold on!!" and ran and grabbed DD - who woke up when I slammed her door open. I thought "Oh god, she's screamed herself to not caring any more. Thank god she's not dead"

Slowly, I realized that I had gotten up, ran, gone out and ran errands, ate lunch, put Robin down for a nap, etc. My day came back to me. I somehow got off the phone with the 2nd caller - but I CAN"T REMEMBER WHO IT WAS. I had only been asleep about and hour. Oy, the insanity.

Welcome Keri - look forward to getting to know you!

Wow Becca! I've been having crazy dreams lately. As in REALLY realistic where I have to ask dh if they happened or not. A question I meant to ask, or starting a load of laundry -- strange...

Holy cow, Becca! That's... nuts!

At least everything/everyone was ok. It'll be a great story for your grandchildren, or your kids when they're older.

I called my midwife yesterday and have an appointment to go chat with her next thursday. I want to get insurence and all of that stuff taken care of ASAP. Last pregnancy I was doing it while 20 weeks pregnant and it was just to stressful!

thanks everyone, for all the thought and prayers for my sis and her little one. he came through surgery fine, and spent the rest of wed. and all day and night thurs. in the CICU. that was so hard for sis and her dh b/c they couldn't even touch him but today he was doing much better and they moved him to a step-down unit--mama and daddy can stay with him 24/7 and they even got to hold him today and he nursed he's on the mend, and we are all so relieved

finally home...my youngest is freaking out about something. gotta go...i'll post more later.
