I'm wearing him!!

well finally managed a few minutes while Caleb was having lunch to dig out the sling and pop Jacob in it. had a sticky moment when he realized how close booby was to his mouth and um...not in it...but i managed to get us untangled and him nursed. now he's in the cuddle hold and happy as a clam.

ps its not my new pouch sling i still cant figure that thing out for this floppy boy. but i do like my ringsling just didn't work with Caleb. he was shorter though and weighed more and i didn't get my sling until he was 10wks old. almost 15lbs by then!

congrats, mama! ain't life grand?!?!?! i've had my new boy in the sling for one dinner in a restaurant, one walk around town and one birthday party in the park ... took me a day or so to realize that the problem i was having was the pouch was too big, but then i shrank it down and yesterday in the park, it was like he'd been doing it all his life!

(oh, and i never go the hang of ring slings, so i've got a hotsling and a lucky-baby pouch ... gave my ring sling away a long while back.)

Awww...I'm jealous!! I can't wait to put my babe in my sling (I'm a ring sling girl, too).

i didn't use my sling much with Teaghan. had a new native, that i'm anxious to try again, and a baby bjorn, which when i did wear her i used.
this time i have a ring sling, the new native, a mai tai and the bjorn. hoping to try somehting out at our local babywearers meeting and maybe get something else too
i really want to wear this baby more than i did teaghan
plus i think with an almost 2 year old to chase around it will make life easier!

Couldn't have survived life with a preschooler and a newborn without my sling! Carrying ds#1 was not a big deal....he was the only one! But add another child and suddenly you need extra hands!
