vent about my own frustrations

I need to vent -- I love my daughter and all that, BUT....she is being so very difficult lately. So high needs. I find myself dealing with her 85% of my waking hours, and I'm starting to feel like I'm short-changing my other daughter (who, thankfully, is rather mellow).

Sometimes I resent my oldest for being so friggin' needy. I'm trying my best, but sometimes I really lose it. I've been reading How To Raise Your Spirited Child, and other books of that ilk. They do help. However, I get so run down at times and just want her to...well....chill the hell out already!

Thank you. Vent over.

Thanks. Sometimes I think I do a pretty good job with all the challenges. Other days, like today, I lose it and scream at dd1 because I just can't take it any more. Arg. I'm getting better at parenting, but it is sooooooo hard.

Oh I so feel this, ds has been high needs since day 1, after 5 years of constant, well constant everything I'm seriously burned out and am at the end of my rope with him.
