Yup! That's the one. Looks awesome. Let me know how it turns out!! I'm a little nervous, I'm still new to cooking with seitan (and sweet and sour , sounds like a disaster waiting to happen for me!!)

It was SOOOOOOOOO good and, honestly, very very easy. I usually use a lot of fresh ginger root and garlic in my asian sauces, so this felt almost like a cheat! (a tasty cheat, mind you... )

There are a whole lot of yummy looking recipes on that site. I'll be checking them out for sure.

Am looking forward to visiting this great thread more often when we have a real kitchen (which should be in a couple of months). At the moment, for various reasons, our makeshift kitchen consists of only a toaster oven, a single hot plate, a pressure cooker, cast iron pan, and no sink nearby. So cooking does require a good deal of effort especially as I like to make things from scratch. Tonight, though, I made delicious fluffy millet served with tempeh cooked in a spicy tomato sauce flavored with spices, fresh ginger and garlic. Towards the end I added shredded kale and frozen peas.

Last night was veggie burgers and green rice. Tonight we're having minestrone with salad and bread. The dressing for the salad will be my all time fave right now: the hemp and maple dressing from Vive le Vegan.

Tonight is going to be herb-roasted potatoes and smoked tempeh. Salad on the side.

Still sick and my cat attacked me this morning so we're having tahini beans and rice for dinner. Sounds yummy despite it being beans and rice-lol.

Yeah, I have 2 sick cats and she sunk her canine into the edge of my thumb when I was trying to rub antiseptic wash on her chin It's still sore and a lovely shade of blood and purple today. On the plus side my rice and beans were delicious!!! Even my omni hubby said they were okay and ate his first taste of seitan (I dont' think he knew and I didn't tell him )

I'm thinking about Potato Rosti pancake/omelettes tonight with vegan cheese, tomato and maybe some thinly sliced seitan (turkey for hub and kids).

Hubby promised kids Mc D's for lunch today and guess who has to go get it :

wildtigercubs - Ouch! I hope you and the cats feel better soon.

Tonight we're having:
  • roasted garlic and white bean soup
  • zucchini salad

Also, I have some nuts soaking for "Vanilla Brazil Nut Milk" (Raw Food/Real World).

All this week's dinner recipes will be from Vegan World Fusion Cuisine.

Tonight we're having marinated tempeh, encrusted in blue corn, with mushroom gravy sauce. Tomorrow we're having the spanakopita with spinach-mushroom sauce (the phyllo is thawing in the fridge already).

Lol, did you post this on PPK this morning? I was drooling over it and complaining about there being no blue corn here just a minute ago!!

Still sick here : I feel worse today than I did on day 2 of this silly cold and I'm having a bad life, my computer died, last night my digital camera died, my thumb is still throbbing and I have a sinus headache from my cold (anyone sick of me yet?!?!)

So tonight it's meowee wraps with lettuce, alfalfa, vegan cheese, mayo and baby tomatoes! Ugh, I forgot to get mayo for the family, will have to go back to the shop again It never ends :

wildtigerclubs, I'm so sorry everthing isn't better. Is there any way you can just crash today and have everyone fend for themselves, or your DH fend for them?

Last night I made the sweet and sour seitan posted in a link above. So, so, so good.

Tonight is more curried squash soup and salad.
