Breastfeeding after childbirth trauma: Stories needed

Thread Starter
I am re-opening a research project on breastfeeding after a traumatic birth experience. Earlier I had invited women to share their experiences with me so that I could include their voices in a chapter I was writing related to breastfeeding and traumatic birth. Now I would like to be able to conduct a qualitative analysis on this important issue. To do so, I need more narratives than I was able to gather when preparing to write that chapter. I plan to continue writing about this issue in the future so that traumatized mothers will have more breastfeeding information and support available to them and so that health care providers can provide more sensitive and effective breastfeeding information and support to traumatized mothers.

If you know a mother who might be interested in sharing her experience, please feel free to forward her this information. More information and the questionnaire are available from the Research page of my website (www.lifecirclecc.com).

Thank you!

Cynthia
