So How Much Sleep Are You Getting? - Page 2

I actually get a lot of sleep at night. Talula basically sleeps from about 10:00 to 6:30, but will wake up most nights around 1:00, have a boob, and fall back to sleep.

But she has these periods from about 6:30 in the morning until about 9:00 and from about 7:30 in the evening until 10:00 where she marathon boobs. So it's not all fun and games, but I do get enough sleep.

How interesting -- this is basically EXACTLY what Anna does!! We must have similar babes.

I have to sat that i am envious of you moms who have newborns that sleep through the night.

i'm baffled by it, but i'm happy for you

I don't know that happy is the word I would use in reference to those mamas whose babes sleep through the night!! Jealous as heck is more like it! Honestly, I would settle for her just sleeping AT night right now!

we're not doing too bad over here either....J.C will go down for the night between 8-9pm and wake again at 11pm to nurse, then around 2-3am then again at 5-6am, then wake for good around 8:30am...he's really good about nursing then falling right to sleep. There have been a few nights where he just wanted to marathon nurse and those next mornings I felt like a zombie, but thankfully I've still had dh home so I slept in a bit

I'm feeling pretty good, so I think i'm getting decent sleep. if I lay down with her between 9-10 she'll sleep till 1-2 then nurse, the sleep till 4 and nurse again.. then sleep till 6-7.. then sometimes she'll sleep again till 9. She can be up for an hour occasionally while nursing.. then lie awake and happy for a bit, but I feel like I'm getting enough rest. I'm surprised as heck by that

Do we have the same baby?! Because that is our schedule almost to a T. Only we've been going to bed slightly earlier the past couple of days because mama has been missing her naps...

Last night started out as a terriable night and then ended up being pretty good. Alex decided to fight sleeping like all afternoon. He hadn't been asleep since like 2pm. So after dinner he was hungry so I fed him, he fell asleep after 15 min so I put him in his bed, well he woke up instantly. He did his for 2 1/2 HOURS. He would nurse 15 min then fall asleep and then wake up and want to eat again. I was so exhausted and tired that I started to cry and dh comes from a family where only the women take care of the kids so it is kinda hard for him to try and help me out, but he has been trying really hard. So it is like 10:30 and dh is like why don't you just go to bed...I asked him who was going to take care of Alex, he said he would and I gave him a bottle of EBM because he had drained both of my breast and he was still acting like he was hungry. Well they both fell asleep and dh put him to bed...then he woke up at 3:45 to nurse again and to my suprise dh had changed his diaper, put his pj's on him, and proped him on his side like he likes to lay. I was impressed. So alex nursed for you 45 minutes and went back to sleep and didn't wake up again until 7:45. I was jumping for joy. Sorry about the long story...I had to rant somewhere.
