She was born Tuesday morning! I was due the 16th, but I had been having contractions since saturday, I felt like the baby was not going to be too long in coming.....She was 8 lbs- a whole lb heavier than my last baby....she's doing really well! I woke up at 2:30am with crampy contractions, and they got worse till I woke Ryan up at 3:30...we went to the hospital at 4:30, and I could tell it wouldn't be long (read: it was getting intense!) my midwife was fantastic, and I spent an hour in the jacuzzi tub and then was ready to push- she was born at 6:37...it was a very quiet, peaceful birth experience, everyone at the hospital was so nice, no problems at all.... she came out after 4 hard pushes... she looks exactly like her oldest sister did- I mean EXACTLY! She has the strongest sucking urge I've ever experienced.....I think she'll be plump in no time. I'm beat, I need to get to bed, but I wanted to share!
