A bottle feeder told me off

My daughter was feeding her baby doll with a bottle (I thought I had chucked them all away). I casually asked why she was using the bottle (she's always breastfed everything) and she informed me that a bottle is way more fun than nursing. I started to list the benifits of breastmilk over formula and got an exasperated eye roll and she stomped out of the room.

A minute later she came back and informed me, "Look my baby has latch problems. I'm PUMPING my milk into the bottle. I know that the breast is best."

lol... I wonder who she has been hanging out with.

OMG - that's too funny!!! That made my day!

My dd now refuses to BF her stuffed "children" most of the time. She says she pumps & gives them a bottle. She even leaves me w/ a bottle when she leaves them in my care.

Well, my 4 YO DD nurses her animals & babies BUT...she has VERY CLEARLY told me that, when she REALLY has a baby, she is NOT BFing. When I asked why she said "DUH! YOU have milk...I'll bring it to you!" :

That reminds me of what my dd did the other day. We were all getting in the car to head home and dd3 needed to nurse before sitting in the car so I was nursing her and dd1 decided her baby needed to nurse to. Only her baby apparently needed to nurse laying down (that happens a lot w/ dd3.) So dd1 decided that was to much hassle and just pretended to hand express some milk into a cup so she could feed her that way. I asked if that was like when Mommy pumps? She said no mom this is totally different! I love watching them act out the things they witness.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever read! I LOVE when they act out things they see! The other day, ds was crying. When I went to go see what was wrong, I see dd and ds laying down with her shirt up. She says to me, "It's ok mom, I got it. Here baby, nurse, nurse... it'll be ok..."
