Spotlight Thread sign-ups are now closed. Thanks to everyone for volunteering!

Spotlight threads (aka Get to Know You) threads are a great way for us to learn more about each other. Each Spotlight thread is hosted by one person who shines the spotlight on another member of our ddc. We all get to ask questions of the spotlighted person and hopefully she will answer most of them.

Our Spotlight threads are now 4 days long each, either running from Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday. Please be sure to start your thread on time. If you are due to start a thread and it isn’t up by the following morning, Astromom or I will go ahead and start it for you. This is not meant to offend anyone in any way. We just want to make sure everyone gets their due time in the spotlight with this new shorter timeframe.

When it's your turn to be a hostess, start a new thread on your specified date with the title "Spotlight on [username of the person you're hosting and thread dates]". Include a few questions in the original post to get things rolling. If your person doesn't reply to their thread or you know they don't post much, PM them a little reminder that it's their week to be a DDC superstar!

If your assigned date doesn’t work for you, please PM me asap and I’ll get you a new date.

Yay, so many volunteers!

When it's your turn to host, basically you just post a new thread with the title, "Spotlight on [username]". It would probably be nice to have a basic list of questions to start with. So the hostess would post those first ones and then if the thread gets slow you can bump it up with a couple more. Once everyone is signed up, I'll post a schedule in the first post and probably have it stickied too.

Any suggestions for the initial set of questions to start each thread with? Do you all want me to do the first one as an example?
