signs of early labor?

Ok, Im going to try to make this short as I feel really uncomfortable and irritable.

I have been having pretty much constant back pain for over 24 hours, PMS like cramps all day, (which is new for me because all the BHs I've had have been at night)I'm grumpy, and my body is definitly cleaning itself out.

Im wondering if this could be a sign of labor coming soon? The baby dropped 5 weeks ago today and I am now 39 weeks (38 and 5 days according to MW). I have not had a bloody show, water breaking, or regular contractions, just the symptoms listed above.

Off to try and lay down-pretty much giving up on sleep at this point...

don't know for sure Mama but hoping if it is it goes easy for you....
i will say that with my dd, i had no real early labor signs... crampy the afternoon before i went into labor and loose bowels...but no bloody show or water breaking. then, bam! woke up in the middle of the night with strong contractions!!
i'm miserable too! won't be much longer!!

well it sounds very possible to me - for sure try to rest as much as possible and conserve your energy .....in case
