Weaned DS 12 months ago, one breast painful and swollen

What the heck is this? For about a month, my right breast has been sore. It feels like a bruise deep inside. I thought maybe DS elbowed me or kicked me in the breast on accident, since he is very rambunctious. But it hasn't gone away. Both of my breasts are very cystic/fibrous, but today I noticed the right one is a bit larger and firmer than the left. I can't feel any specific lump, and visually, there is no redness or bruising or anything I can see. It kind of feels like a plugged duct. And the wierd thing is that I can still express a drop of colustrum-like milk from both nipples. It never went away completely.

So what is this, some kind of cyst or infection? Maybe it is actually a plugged duct? I've had several plugged ducts while nursing.

I would think it is very unlikely to be a blocked duct if your baby weaned 12 months ago. It's possible to still be producing milk but it would be such tiny amounts that I can't imagine how it would manage to block up duct. I would personally get it checked by a dr.

Well, it is starting to feel better. It only aches a little bit now when I press into it. Maybe it is just a bruise.
