that rates movies for parents and tells you if there is violence, etc.

http://www.pluggedinonline.com/ This is a Christian site that gives detailed info and recommendations for and against films based on various things including violence, sex, language, etc.

You can also go to rottentomatoes.com and just look at the rating on the left and see why it was rated that rating.

I'm not sure how much of the site you can see without registering, but registering is no big deal and worth it (IMHO) for the detailed information.

kids-in-mind.com is great and breaks down their ratings by sex, violence, and language. It gives specific details so you can decide what you think your dc can handle.

This is the website I use and it is sooo detailed which at times can drive me nuts but since DD has anxiety issues there are things that bother her that no other web site or review would ever mention; so in the end I am glad that they are so very detailed and specific about everything.

Like Lil'M said, then you can decide what your kid can handle. Also, I care more about violence and my friend cares more about sex stuff and with this we are able to see what we both can take our kids too.

I highly recommend it!
