So seriously, a bfp at 7dpo? Is it even really possible?

Okay all, I don't know what possessed me to use my last hpt tonight instead of waiting until like 10 dpo like a normal person. Plus, it's not really even 7 dpo since I ovulated last Saturday, and it's almost midnight here. Saturday was the only day of ewcm, and it dried up Sat afternoon...I've had lots of symptoms that were similar to my other pregnancies and thought I would just take the test, get it our of my system, and then wait until Tues or Weds of next week.

So I just took the test, and the two lines showed up in less than 30 seconds. I am in complete and utter shock. Even though I was fairly confident that I was pregnant, to have it show up positive has me literally shaking. Seriously, is it possible that it's correct? Or should I run and buy more tests tomorrow?

(Haven't even told my dh yet, he would freak!)

I wanna see a picture! I've been looking at BFP's all day and want to see another!

Well, dh is waiting for me to come to bed, and I haven't quite figured out how to tell him yet. So, picture taking and posting may have to wait until tomorrow... The line isn't even faint though. Both lines look the same. how is that possible???

Hmm...I say test again soon to double check but as far as I know a line is a line. Is it possible you o'd earlier than you thought?

That is almost way too early. Maybe 1% of the pop. get a BFP that early. But you would have had to have implanted earlier than "usual" at around 5 DPO, which is also extremely RARE!

Some HPT's I refuse to take because they give a hint of a line even though they are neg. Usually it's the blue plus sign ones. Also, there is such thing as evap lines, as you probably know.

I'd test with FMU with a different brand around 10 DPO and beyond.

Was your period prior to this normal for you? Was it early or lighter than expected? Could you really be pg from last month? It just seems odd to me that it would be positive already.

I don't want to scare you, but maybe you are preg with more than one baby and that is causing your levels to be high so they show up on a test early. Can you have a blood test done to confirm?

What the heck kind of test did you use?

I got a BFP at 8dpo with my last pregnancy using Answer HPT. It is possible! AND... her hcg levels were low and they thought that I was miscarrying her! So, you can have a BFP with a singleton at that many dpo! Good Luck!

Okay sorry for the suspense. I just barely was able to log on for the first time since the big move...

Well, the bad new is there hasn't been another positive test since... And it was one of those + or - tests, so who knows what was going on. The good news is, no sign of AF yet at 11 dpo, so I guess I'm still in the game. Keeping my fingers crossed for an accurate positive later this week.

Sorry to get everyone so excited...:

My guess is that you ovulated much sooner than you think! Even temping can be ambiguous sometimes, and if you weren't temping I would bet money on an early ovulation. Congrats!

Whoops, Stacymom, just saw your last post. Sorry there haven't been any other positive tests. Still, I don't think those tests malfunction very often. Keep us posted!

(FWIW, with Nora, I made myself wait until 15 dpo so that by the time I tested I was pretty much 100% sure I was pregnant. I had POAS so many times in previous cycles only to be disappointed...I wanted to spare myself the wondering, if I got a -, whether it was just too early. But I know it's really hard to wait!!)
