Milk already decreasing...need ideas!

Poor DS is getting so frustrated! I've started a bowl of oatmeal each day, but I am open to all suggestions. Can we take Mother's Milk tea while pregnant?

No, you can't drink nursing tea while pregnant.

I've been taking this and it works well: http://www.babyuniverse.com/pro/baby...lFree-8oz.html

You can get it cheap on e-bay.

motherlove.com has a blend that is safe for pregnancy. Fenugreek is a no-no though.

I think I've dried up. My poor DS hasn't nursed since Saturday (and then was mostly comfort to get to sleep in a strange place). Prior to that, he'd nurse for about 5 minutes, then reach for a bottle of water. Hmmm... makes me think nothings coming out.

Poor boy, I really wanted to nurse through the pregnancy, and maybe he'll show an interest again, but if not, I guess I'll have to count him weaned at about 20 months!

My supply went way down as soon as the egg implanted, that's how I knew something was up! I'm going to see if I can get some of that More Milk 2, or maybe RRL tea and see if they make alfalfa tea. I'm already taking nettle for my allergies, and it's helping, but it also is supposed to help with supply. Good luck to you. I'm worried about my ds, too, since he's only 9.5mos old. Eating solids, too, but I still want him to have bm as long as he wants it.

Just to give ya'll a little hope -- my ds1 dry-nursed a bit every day, & when my milk came back he was nursing full-on again. He actually still nurses a couple times a day, although I think when my milk goes this time he'll probably wean.

Once milk dries up due to pregnancy hormones I have found its pretty much gone.

I dont think that my DD is getting much milk anymore either. She is 27 months and was still nursing about 3 times a day. Now she attempts to nurse, but I really dont think she's getting anything. But she does not seem frustrated, thank goodness....that would break my heart.

My milk is supply has dropped dramatically, too. I told my DD, "I think the milk is going away." She said, "Mama milk for babies." I said, "Is Soli (my dd) a baby?" And she said, "No, Soli big girl!" So I think we will eventually mutually agree to stop nursing. Sigh.

My midwife and I talked about this. On top of oatmeal she recomended eating avacados and cooking with olive oil. She also recomended lots of water and whole grains besides oats. I know it's not a magic tea, but good ideas for pregnant eating anyway.

My milk is drying up too, I think. I have never felt letdown. I have been let down by letdown. But as far as I can tell by her body language, things just aren't the same. Last night she woke up before I came to bed, she called for me, I came, we nursed for a sec., she sat up and asked me for some water with ice. She fell asleep with her sippy cup. Now I am torn between options. I want her to nurse for at least a few more months. But I am getting awfully cranky, and it might be better for our relationship as a whole, if I just let her let me go.... plus oatmeal sounds like.... rightnow.

Thanks! I love avocadoes and always cook with olive oil, so maybe there's hope for my "nursies"!
