I finally found a local source for grass-fed raw milk. I bought my first gallon of milk yesterday and a quart of cream to make butter!

(Just wanted to share with others who can appreciate my excitement. )

Shake cream in a jar for 20 minutes, or run it through your food processor until the butter clumps together -- takes several minutes. Drain thoroughly, pressing out the liquid until it's all out. You can add a little salt if you want, then form or mold the butter, and chill.

Thanks. That's what we just did. I used the food processor method. So cool.

I wanted to add that I have made butter accidentally in less than a minute in my baby food processor. It wasn't with raw cream. But they work so quickly that I was amazed

Is there a list of sources somewhere or someone that can point me in the right direction?
