Can you use just any regular old cucumbers? I have some growing in my garden right now and I would love to make pickles out of them, but maybe they're the wrong kind?

That's how my mom started making pickles. We had cucumbers in the garden, and she just picked them while they were small. They're just plain old cucumbers, but only a few inches long.

I think so! You can do the sliced kind of pickles, at least.
