Azure Standard meat / fish

Anyone ever ordered their frozen meats / frozen fish? What did you think?

Yep. Before I found a local farmer as a source for grass-fed, organic chicken and beef, I ordered all of my meats through Azure. The quality was good, both the Azure Farms products and those from other sources. Nice cuts, good prices (if you are a member -- the member prices are often much better on meat items). I've also ordered lamb from them, with good results.

With Azure, the thing I always tell everyone to avoid is the produce. I have had bad, bad luck with the produce. But beyond that, everything else has been great.

Member prices...? I don't see anything about membership on their web site... tell me more?

Call them, tell them you want to set up an account and become a member. They'll sign you up, give you an account number. Depending upon where you are, there may already be a drop point for their truck routes in your area, or you can start one, if you are willing to spend $400 per month. (Or, if you can find a group of people willing to order together as one drop point, you can go that way -- you just have to have a minimum monthly order of $400 per drop point.) Then, when you order (either online or over the phone) you use your member account to place your order and you get member pricing.

For example, 10 pounds of Shelton Chicken Breasts are $45.55 for a non-member (as you can see when you pull up the website). For a member, those same 10 pounds of chicken breast are $32.45. Pretty significant savings.

HTH!

Thanks, will try that!

I have been ordering through a group, I wonder if I would get the discount, I know they do over $400 a month. Is there a way to see the member prices? I guess I can check with the organizer.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Stephanie, I actually found out that all you need to do is register at the web site and get an account number, and then if you are signed in to the site you will see the member prices.
