Lochlan James! 7lbs 5oz 19.5in long! Healthy and beautiful and a wonderful nurser! Heres the brief details......

He arrived via c-section on saturday 7/15 after 30 hours of hard labor and a brief stint in L&D to try an epi and pitocin. I wasn't dialating due to posterior and asynclytic positioning PLUS he had the cord around his neck and body. There are several more troubling details but I will save them for the birth story. The only thing that I refused was a blood transfusion but the jury is still out on whether I will still need it. I'm very weak but healing nicely. On a super strong iron sup and mom is pumping me full of good food and other vitamins.

congratulations to you and your family and welcome Lochlan. So sorry you had such a rough labor, but glad your little boy is here and healthy. Glad your mom is taking good care of you. Get well soon.

Congrats April! I hope you are healing okay. He is gorgeous! Be sure to greive your experience...you might find nice support through ICAN. They typically have local meetings and at least a yahoogroup for your area.

Congrats again, Mama!

The pics are great, but don't really do them justice! I had the distinct pleasure of visiting the other day, and April is beautiful and Lochlan is totally adorable!

I added a photo slideshow to my blog if anyone is interested in the photo birth story. I'm still trying to type up the verbal birth story but its a bit hard to do. The photos were hard enough! So many pictures of things I don't remember. :

Beautiful video April! Lochlan is gorgeous, and so are you.
