I also have had a major slow down in the fine art department... a new baby- three kids, homeschooling. Focusing on fiber arts and photography is very contained compared to the mess and space of sculpture or painting. Sticking some sock knitting in my purse is a totally different thing that pulling an all nighter in front of a 5x 7 foot canvas! I really love photography- but I still take photos as if I am trying to capture some studies to work from for a painting I am "going to do" Maybe thinking of the scene through my camera lens as a painting helps me compose - but I also wish I could love my photography for photography's sake. I have lots of pics on my blog- back in April there were some good goat pictures when they had babies.

The last big hurrah was this crazy summer of Pigs six years ago! Back then I only had one kid- and I have no idea how I even managed that- all the fiberglass- couldn't even work anywhere near the boy.

Wow - a fine arts forum, this is cool!

I paint a little, but what I really love is making mosaics with stained glass.

Since I started working full time back in January I haven't had time to make anything really. I am going to start a new piece - a large mirror - very soon though for my friends brothers wedding. I only have until November to finish so I really need to get started! I can manage though, it seems to be the one area where I can work okay under pressure.

Hi everyone. I just found this fine art thread so I'll post my work. I'm a fine art photographer - I'm currently working on a series of stages (places where people ought to be but aren't, not necessarily theatrical stages), a series of carnival food, a series of my daughter, some self portraits, and a series inspired by folk tales. hello...I'm reviving an old thread if you all don't mind. doesn't seem to be a whole lot of traffic here, but I'd love to join the conversation.

the owner of the toy store that I recently muralized has decided to open a second location (in my naborhood as a matter of fact!) and wants more muraling. It's a much larger job, I'm a little nervous, but really very excited as well.
