Joel Stephen was born July 18 at 2:49am. He weighed in at 6lbs 2oz and was 19" long. He swallowed a bunch of amnionic fluid into his stomach and lungs as he was born so he had a little trouble with his breathing. His Apgars were 8 and 9 but he was working really hard to breathe so they put him on oxygen for about 9 hrs. He did so well that they let us come home the next evening. Labor started when my water broke at 9pm Monday and lasted 5hrs and 49 minutes. We had some trouble getting started breastfeeding since he couldn't eat right away but now he's got it figured out and really goes at it! I hope this works for the pics!
