: Well, the title pretty much sums it up.After last night of feeling like labor could be imminent and if nothing else getting more uncomfortable by the minute I decided to cancel plans today and get stuff done that needed doing. Mainly this involved baby laundry and several first washes to the cloth diapers since you supposedly need to wash them about 5 times before use.
Well at 8 am this morning bunches of trucks arrived outside my house (very small residential street so this was weird). I watched them hustle and bustle for a few minutes and finally got curious.
Upon asking they told me there was a water main break literally in front of my front yard and they would be repairing it. Great, I thought, since my husband works nights and the bedroom is the front of the house.
Where will you be digging? I asked. I am not sure yet but your neighbor will probably lose some of his flowers, was the reply.
Well, at no point was I informed that I would be losing water for the ENTIRE DAY and that they would be digging a 15x15 feet HOLE that is over 8 FEET DEEP in my front yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So no laundry is accomplished. I want to kill the 18 men yelling outside my front door, my lawn is hopeless looking and will likely be for a WHILE as the seed they BETTER plant grows in, I never even got to brush my teeth, wash my face, shower, TAKE SOME WATER TO DRINK FOR MY GROWING BABY, flush the toilet (although surprisingly you pee a lot less when there isn't much to drink), let alone do the chores I needed to do.
I am WAY to hormonal for this. Bastards saw me this morning. You think it might have occurred to them to enlighten the huge pregnant woman who said she was gonna be home all day what they would be doing to my yard and my water.
And now I am petrified I will go into labor at some point when this little project is still underway (homebirth mama, hopefully) and I will be stuck laboring with that going on.

I hope they fix it quick and baby waits until they're gone at least!
