The thing is... circ absolutely does not fit in with AP. It just doesn't. The people who say it does are in deep in denial, IMO. It goes against everything that AP and NFL stand for. I totally agree that there should be no "laundry list" of things that one has to do or not do to be considered AP, but some things are fundamentally incompatible with AP.

love and peace.
AP is about respecting the child. NOTHING about circ is respectful.

Some of my personal favorites

1. Not circing will cause him emotional problems when he's older (this was said by someone to whom I mentioned my brother was intact and the person knew my brother had problems with depression- he insinuated it was all caused by my brother not being circumcised )

2. There's just nothing wrong with it.

3. The hospital wouldn't offer it if there was anything wrong with it. :

We did our research and we saw that there were benefits that were on sites that stated prevent, reduced so believe those benefits outweighed the risk of a surgery .

All of our family members recommended it

We did it because we had a relative who had to get circ by 60/80 yrs of age we don't know too much about it but he said it was infected.

Well, all the men in our family did it so that's why .

he has a penis but I don't so I will let him decide because i don't have the equipment.

"My Catholic priest says they like the males to be circumcised, so we are going to do it." (I sent links to refute what that uninformed preist said, but it didn't matter to the dad.)

My sister said intact penises are ugly and weird, when I told her we would not circumcise if my baby turned out to be a boy. She has never commented on what my son's penis looks like, but I always wonder if she still thinks that. Last time I visited her, she told me my circ'ed nephew has a little 'pit' in his glans that collects debris, and eventually when it gets big enough he can pop it out in the shower like a blackhead. BLECH. That to me is just a little more gross than a natural penis...

The most common ones I notice are:

1) Because I would blindly follow the pack without doing any research.

2) Because doctors are given too much authority and I am afraid to stand up to them.

3) Because I don't understand the religion I belong to.

4) Because I treat children as if they were property.

5) Because nobody has convinced me that I need to care.
