ok, question..when i had my son, i had severe tears in my perineum..up, down and actually one to the side they told me to take sitz baths and ive been doing so..but it still hurts..i had my baby 8 days ago..any tips on how to help the pain?? id appriciate it..thanks!!

Give it time. Not to scare you but it took me 12 weeks to feel 'right' after my first. This time (my second) I felt better after 3 days. Take it as easy as you can and know that it WILL feel better eventually!

Also don't sit for a long time. Rest and lay down for periods of time during the day. It will help as that it won't have as much pressure on it compared to sitting.

It also took me a while for my first compared to my second and third child.

Try some ice on the area and alternate with heat. That's what I did last time after my episiotomy. It took forever to feel better. Dd was born in May and I still had pain until November:

I dont know what you are putting in your sitz bath, or if you are even but when I tore I put comfrey in my bath and it helped a lot!
