? on burying placenta

I live in the country, but we rent. We had a HB in June. I stuck the placenta in the freezer (in it's plastic bucket) since I was told by the midwife to bury it (it's illegal to throw it away in the garabage and I didn't feel right about it anyhow). I didn't bury it right away because around Amish country, you do things quietly (the amish women don't even want ppl to notice the midwives are at their house, they call them last minute and try to aim for the middle of the night ). So I didn't want to be obvious. Now I need to bury it...

How deep should I bury it to keep animals from digging it up...namely coyotes ?

We've got ds's placenta in the deep freezer, will be finally burying it now that we bought land, but I'd like to know tips to keep the coyotes out, too. We plan on putting it in the soil when we plant a tree for him...it'd be a shame for them to mess up the tree.

Okay, got some tips off of another board.

Bury three feet deep and put a pound of lime on top, then fill in the hole. (We're renting...so now for me to figure out WHERE to bury it)
