Yeah, I'm continuing the off-topic discussion, but I'm very Catholic and really don't like seeing when fallacies are being spread about my church.
especially when not backed by any evidence ... just slinging accusations that they have "heard from someone" or "read somewhere"
i find it astonishing that these same "aware" think for themselves people are wise enough to take into account conflict of interest, conspiracy theories, and unbiased research in their own quest for truth concerning so many areas of life ... when it comes to the Catholic Church stubbornly cling to secondhand info that is spun by people with an agenda.
They reveal their ignorance it by making completely false statements about the Catholic Church, that if left unchecked the majority of people just absorb it and add it to their already distorted view of the Church without even questioning it!
: Catholic bias runs deep, and any other race, religion, creed, sexual orientation is protected ... but Catholic bashing is the last acceptable prejudice.
If I came on here spouting negative accusations about homosexuals ... I will be breaking forum rules and accused of hate speech, and my PM box would be bombarded ... but when it comes to the Church it's no holds barred anything goes.
Then if you call them on it and offer the truth, the response is very typical of the pro-vax "don't bother me with the facts" crowd.
