Anyone have the Brother SE-270D?

Does anyone have this? How does it do for sewing? Embroidery?

I'm not looking for super fancy embroidery - mainly names/monograms, just a decent sewing machine with a bit extra. (see "another sewing machine question" thread)

Does anyone know if you can actually try them out at Walmart or are they just in boxes?

I looked at Pattern Review, but they were mixed. On some of them, I couldn't tell if it was the machine or the user that was the problem. :-) Many of them were written after just one day or one week, so I was hoping to get feedback from someone who has used it for awhile.
